Our Pro Gel System is a match made in heaven for iGel Beauties, and take this as a sign to find out why!

What is Pro Gel?

Pro Gel tips are pre-shaped or pre-sculpted nail extensions, which means you don't have to spend many hours and energy shaping and filing your nails to achieve the desired nail shape.

iGel Beauty developed the Pro Gel System to lessen the time-consuming process of adding nail extensions. The tips have full coverage and a versatile application. Our Pro Gel Tips come in four different designs and sizes!

Pro Gel tips are customizable for dip, gel, or acrylic since it is built to be flexible for any nail art, making the set a go-to of iGel Beauties.

What are regular nail tips made of?

Most tip extensions are made of acrylic plastic. They are typically flexible yet sturdy for foundation—they offer additional support as extensions of your natural nail bed.

Unlike the acrylic tips, the Pro Gel tips have a more natural look, and within minutes, you can have salon-quality nail art. The best part is, they don't need to be refilled. Instead, you can file them down and soak them off if needed.

Products Required for the Pro Gel System:

How to Apply the Pro Gel System?

1. Prep

Prepping your nails should always be a part of your nail routine. To start, gently push back your cuticles and trim them as needed. Then, gently buff/rough the surface of your nails to prep the surface for adhesion! Prepping can take time, but you want to make sure you're setting a solid foundation for your Pro Gel tips on your nails.

2. Measure

The next thing you have to do is  measure your nail beds to know the perfect tip size for your nails, and it's not an easy task. You have to make sure that the tip doesn't just fit your nail bed but has an extra room to adjust and customize each nail's shape as your fingers may have different lengths on each hand.

Each clear nail should fit smoothly just inside your cuticles. Next, you can file the sides of the Pro Gel tipsthen etch the bottom of your clear tip with a hand buffer or e-file lightly to prep it for the next step! Note: When measuring, it should be over your bare nail without any polish, gel, or acrylics!

3. Apply Prime & Bond

This part is optional, but you can use your iGel Beauty PH Bonder to dehydrate your nail beds of any natural oils. Then, add a thin layer of the iGel Beauty Ultimate Bond Primer to create adhesion. These two steps aren't mandatory, but it offers you more protection and durability for long-lasting wear.

4. Apply Base Coat

Apply a thin layer of iGel Beauty Gel Base Coat, and cure it for 30 seconds; this time may fluctuate depending on your lamp wattage.

5. Apply Pro Gel Base & Tip

Apply a thin layer of iGel Beauty Pro Gel Base to the underside of the Pro Gel Tip. After that, apply light pressure from the tip to the nail bed and flash cure for 3-5 seconds using your Mini LED Pro Lamp

You have to cure both sides of the nail bed in a front-facing direction to allow all sides to be securely set. Most importantly, although often neglected, wipe off any excess Pro Gel Base from your cuticle line or underneath your nail. Follow up with a 60-second cure with your UV/LED Lamp.

Pro Tip! Suppose you use the Pro Gel Tip System on yourself. In that case, you can lay the Mini LED Lamp sideways and cure the tip without having the lamp's legs limit your flexibility!

After your tips are applied, you may trim them. If not, you can finally get to decide your next look! You could keep it stylish yet simple with Gel or Lacquer Polish or supplement with colored dip or acrylic for more strength.

Benefits of using Pro Gel Tips:

  • Full coverage
  • Well-built
  • Reduce work
  • Gel Tips are usually flexible than acrylic
  • Easy to apply
  • Lasts longer
  • Aesthetically pleasing
  • Has plenty of options for sizes and lengths

How to Remove Pro Gel tips?

If you want to remove your gel tips effectively without damaging your nails, we have practical pieces of advice on how you can do it swiftly and carefully.

1. Buff your nails to remove shine

Remove the shiny layer; we highly recommend buffing/roughing the shiny layer before soaking it. You may also use a hand buffer or your e-file of choice to remove the bulk of your polish without reaching the natural nail.

2. Soak and Submerge

Afterward, you may proceed to soak your nails in 100% acetone for 5-20 minutes (depending on how thick the remaining polish is left).

Pro Tip! You may place the acetone in a glass bowl and place another bowl of raw, heated rice or hot water underneath. It's one of the DIY hacks you can try at home. If you are using rice, heat it without water for 1 minute. The hot rice will heat the acetone and speed up the process.

3. Scrape the Pro Gel tips gently

If the tips don't come off, you can re-soak them for another 5 minutes. Again, be gentle with your nails. Once they are soft enough, you may lightly scrape them off. If you remove the tips forcefully, then your nails might have scrapes or cracks.

4. If all else fails, go back to the beginning

If tiny remnants of polish remain, gently buff off the residue with a hand buffer or sanding band and keep repeating the process until it's gone.

Our Pro Gel System seems too good to be true, but you'll never know if you won't give it a try. After all, it's an investment that you'll love for your nail career or hobby.

The Pro Gel System is the one you're looking for! You'll find other iGel Beauties who love these Pro Gel tips as much as you do in our iGel Beauty Facebook community!
